We are expanding fast and the demand for our work is ever increasing, and we aim to meet the needs of young people across north London. We have some amazing partnerships in the pipeline and some fantastic opportunities as well that we want to take up but we can’t do this alone and therefore we are seeking an amazing volunteer who is self-motivated, passionate and who’s actions speak louder than their words to join our existing amazing team and help us move things forward.
You will be required to volunteer for approx. 6-10 hours per week (based at our new office in the Edmonton shopping centre,) with some home working but will occassional travel across north London to our projects). This role is flexible and can be done during the day, evenings and/or weekends.
You will be required to complete a FREE Youth work level two course and a DBS check provided by NYCC. Unless you provide a transferable DBS in which case this won’t be required.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or above.
Purpose of this project: To enable young people to experience and contribute to the youth programme activities which are fun, safe, social and educational (team building, developing self confidence) We are looking for passionate and hard working voluntary Youth workers to help in Sports, Arts, Drama, media activities and more.
Location: You will be based in our Edmonton office but will have flexibility to travel across Enfield and Haringey to work with us to deliver our youth and community programs.
Objectives: You will work directly with young people, other volunteers and partners to deliver programmes and activities to support and encourage 11-25 year olds. Working as part of a team within North London, you will work with clear objectives to 'connect', 'progress' and help 'transform' the lives of young people who need us most.
Responsibilities:
Supporting young people to develop their confidence and skills.
Supporting young people into positive outcomes including education, training and employment.
Delivery of programmes.
Planning, organising and budgeting.
day-to-day general administration.
