The Youth Leadership Programme aims to empower and develop YOU and your skills!
Our Money management course intends to provide young people with the skills to manage a set budget and to also learn how to set personal priorities and finance goals, pay off a debt, create and manage a savings account and more!
Young people will discuss and develop an event they would like to create in the community! They will then learn the best ways to manage the event and be given a set budget to work with (using the knowledge from the Money Management course) they will plan, organise and bring the event to life!
As part of our programme, young people will be given the opportunity to go on a few trips around London to have fun, promote teamwork and most of all, experience new activities, to which they will also get to know their area!
Our members of staff and programme leaders will lead and bring lots of small activities every week to bring the team closer!
Young people will be made aware of some issues in our community and then, together, discuss and come up with innovative solutions and possible ways of tackling these. Then they will propose these solutions to our higher management and together, we will action it!
Throughout the activities, workshops and courses, young people will develop and work on numerous soft skills such as: Teamwork, Communication, Leadership qualities, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and more!
At NYCC we look to adapt to young people's needs and support them becoming confident, informed, empowered and proud of who they are as individuals. Therefore, when you take part in our programme, bring your ideas and voices to what skills you would like to learn and what activities you would like to do! And we will support you achieve your goals!
